In 2002, God spoke to Pastor Armando in a hotel room in Lubbock, TX, confirming that he was to start a church. At the time, Armando was a full-time youth pastor, but it was clear to him what God was calling him to do next. On November 2003, the church was launched with a small number of people, and it grew over time. Within a 20-year span of ministry, the church has gone through many changes and seasons. After Armando almost lost his life to Covid-19, it was clear that God had something greater in store for the him and the church. In 2022, God blessed the church with a debt free property and it has since more than doubled in membership. Throughout this rich history, God has raised up amazing leaders and faithful members who serve at the church every week. In 2024 and beyond, now known as SET FREE HOUSTON, the church has been called to lead people to salvation, and help them get set free from bondage, by the power of His great name.
